This policy covers the NiceBabyName nameology tools accessed through AI assistants and connectors (the “Service”), including the Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoints operated by NiceBabyName.
The Service is operated by Fate Wonder LLC (“NiceBabyName”, “we”), which is the data controller for the processing described in this policy. You can reach us at support@nicebabyname.com.
When you (via an AI assistant) request a reading, the Service receives only the information you provide for that request: the name(s) to read, and optionally the parents’ names, gender, language, and a pronunciation. We do not require an account for these tools, and we do not receive your account identity, chat history, contacts, or precise location. We do receive the names you ask about — which may include a child's and both parents' first names — because the reading cannot be produced without them.
Request logs. We also keep a log of each request our tools receive: the names and options you submitted (for example the baby’s name, the parents’ first names, gender, language and pronunciation), the reading we returned, which AI assistant or client made the request, the time it took, any error, and the requesting IP address.
The names you provide are sent to our own nameology calculation engine to generate the reading, which is returned to your assistant. We temporarily cache readings for 30 days (keyed by a one-way hash of the submitted names, not the names themselves) to improve speed. We keep standard server logs, including IP address, for security and abuse prevention. We do not use the names you submit to build advertising profiles.
We use the request logs to check that readings are correct, to find and fix problems, to improve the tools, and to detect abuse of the Service. For this we rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a reliable and safe service. We never use the names you send for advertising or profiling, and no reading has any legal or similarly significant effect on you or your child.
You may object to our use of your request logs at any time by emailing support@nicebabyname.com. We will then stop using the records about you and delete them, unless we need to keep them to deal with abuse of the Service.
We do not sell your data. Your data is processed on servers in the United States provided by Amazon Web Services, and delivered through a content-delivery network, both acting on our behalf under data-processing agreements. We do not share the names you send, or our request logs, with anyone else. Request logs can be viewed only by authorised NiceBabyName staff. For California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
Request logs are kept for 365 days and then deleted automatically; the IP address in a log entry is removed after 90 days. Cached readings expire automatically (within approximately 30 days). Standard security logs are kept for a limited period. Copies held in backups are deleted on the backup rotation schedule.
The Service reads names as text and is intended for use by adults (for example, expecting parents). Readings are commonly requested about a baby or child by a parent, so the names and any details you send may relate to a child. We use them only to produce the reading you asked for, never for advertising or profiling, and you can ask us to delete them at any time at support@nicebabyname.com.
Because these tools need no account, we identify your records by what you sent. You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the records about you or your child, to object to our use of them, or to receive a copy (Articles 15–21 GDPR). Email support@nicebabyname.com with the names you submitted, the approximate date and time, and the assistant you used; we answer within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.
You can stop data collection at any time simply by discontinuing use of the tools.
